Task 3

  • What scene did you develop? - we developed East End Tales 1
  • What drama skills did you use to do so?- Improvisation, understanding of character, detailed facts, clear pronunciation and team work.
  • Explain what you did as a group. Why did you make these choices? (Think about character- voice/physicality.) -we decided to make up a past of the character and show clearly and detailed what happened to him and why he is like what he is. We made sensible conclusions as to what happened, by using guidance from the script and general knowledge of things we know that relate to what was said in the script. We did this to get a better understanding of the character and show the class more of the characters personality.
  • What was effective about the characterisation they had decided to explore?- I liked how some groups used sound to show emotions of the character and others used actions, it made the scene much more interesting to watch.
  • Did the scene help you understand anything new about the play or another character?- It helped me understand that the play is all about interpretations of the East End. It also helped me understand that what the play talks about is very serious issues about possibly true stories of peoples lives.
