1. Jack the Ripper came from the East End
2.Victoria Park (known colloquially as Vicky Park or the People's Park) opened in 1845. It stretches out across part of the East End of London.
3. East London and was considered to include all of Greater London east of the City of London and north of the River Thames.
4. Famous for the The Blitz during WW2 because was one of the most bombed places in London.
5. East London has always been the poor relation of the West End. From the earliest times, it attracted trade and industry, thanks to its proximity to both The Thames and the River Lea. In particular, ‘dirty’ industries like tanning and tallow works clustered in the east, downwind and outside the city walls where ‘noxious’ trades were banned.
